Ammachi can’t find her glasses one morning and everything goes topsy-turvy!
Page after page spills with drama, humour, detail and local flavour as Priya Kuriyan spins a hilarious tale about a crazy day with unforgettable Ammachi — “the archetypal grandmother from memories of my own childhood in Kerala,” as Priya says. The celebrated illustrator is at her best in this her first wordless picture book.

This is a book without words, which requires creativity from the reader, but you can create stories on your own, or you can simply use 1-1 page to talk about with your child. We find it very funny how different stories we create with my husband.
It can be a great tool for showing and teaching the names of different emotions, as the drawings are very expressive.
It's bigger than a usual baby book, so it might not be your favorite on-the-go book for your loved one, but the bigger size gives spaces to the amazing visuals.
It has a cute Indian touch to it, so my daughter could easily relate to items/clothes/etc showed in the book.
The cover of the book is soft, and don't expect baby-board pages, but the paper quality is not the usual easy-to-tear one, so even my 14 months old can nicely turn the pages without me being afraid that she would damage it.
