Grandparents are the very best,
Twice the love and double the fun.
the hugs,kisses and the pampering,
they love me more than anyone!
They have stories and they have rhymes,
that no one else can tell.
A comfy lap for cosy chat,
or just to rest for a brief spell.
No question is too silly,
no answer is dismissed,
they explain it all patiently,
with just the best little twists.
They stay at home all day long,
with a ready ear, just for me,
to play with whatever toys I choose,
till we all run out of energy.
Nap times are always fun with them,
cause they join in those too.
We get a little rest together,
as there is still lots more for us to do.
An evening snack that we always share,
then its off to visit friends in the park,
they walk with a watchful eye on me.
and we all play till its dark.
